Air 106.1 FM is a supportive community radio station. To assist Non-Profit Organizations with advertising costs, the station has a process of obtaining sponsorship from local business. This sponsorship type of marketing allows the non-profits to advertise their activities and also highlights the businesses. A win win for all.
Air 106.1 has played a vital role in disseminating information on our Airdrie 1st Club initiatives, including but not limited to: The Jingle Bell Breakfast, The Christmas Hamper Program with the associated Food/Toy/Winterwear Drives, and Siren’s Hockey Games.
We spoke with Ron Zuke of Air 106.1 FM to find out more about this valued Airdrie 1st Club Community Cares Supporter. Ron has enjoyed working with Golden West Broadcasting for 35 years. He has been the General Manager in Airdrie for 11 years, at what was then called The Range 106.1 and is now Air 106.1 FM. The radio industry has had many changes and new media platforms over Ron’s 35 years. Most recently Golden West Broadcasting has introduced a new service, Homefield. This is an exciting online/media marketing and leadership development tool. Air 106.1 FM can help anyone who struggles with creativity, media and/or technology, making these things simple and stress-free.
We would like to thank Ron Zuke and this station for always being there for the Airdrie 1st Club. Air 106.1 promotes community spirit and helps makes Airdrie great.
